Cajun Shrimp Flat Bread

Flat breads are very versatile and any combination of sauce, veggies and meat can be tried. I have used pineapple basil sauce and Cajun seasoned shrimp in this recipe.

Preparing sauce:

Pineapple- 1 cup crushed (canned)
Basil- 5-6 leaves
Red dried chili- 1-2
salt to taste

Blend all the ingredients together in a mixer and refrigerate until ready to use.

Preparing the flat bread dough: (makes 2)

All purpose flour- 2 1/2 cups
water- 3/4th cup +_1/4 cup
yeast-1 1/2 tsp.
oil- 2 tsp.
sugar- 1 tsp.

Either with the help of bread machine (dough setting) or using a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients together and once the dough is raised, it is ready to be rolled out.

Preparing toppings:

Shrimp- around 20 numbers.
Cajun seasoning powder- 1 tsp.
oil- 2 tsp.
salt to taste
shallots- around 10 numbers (sliced)
colored peppers- 1/4th cup
cheese- 3/4th cup (I have used Mozzarella in the recipe).


1. Prepare the shrimp by coating the pan with oil, once hot add the shrimp to the pan with salt and Cajun seasoning mix. cook until done (less than 5 minutes).
2. Place the rolled out dough in a pizza pan that you are using to cook and cook only the crust for about 15 minutes (until half way done).
3. Assemble with sauce, cheese, meat and veggies and bake the pizza for about15 minutes (until the cheese is melted and veggies are slightly done).
